Research peptide raw material

BPC-157 Raw Material Supplier

BPC-157 is supplied as research-use raw powder from 5 g, cold-chain, or as lyophilized vials in kits of ten. Five public batch records are published for it in the Pepti COA library, each with an HPLC purity result and a molecular-weight result, so the identity you are quoted can be checked before you pay.

What you are buying

BPC-157 as a raw material, not as a story

BPC-157 is a fifteen-residue peptide, Gly-Glu-Pro-Pro-Pro-Gly-Lys-Pro-Ala-Asp-Asp-Ala-Gly-Leu-Val, indexed under CAS 137525-51-0 and PubChem CID 9941957 with a formula of C62H98N16O22 and a molecular weight of 1419.5 g/mol. The trade also calls it Body Protection Compound-15 or pentadecapeptide BPC 157. All of those names point at the same sequence, and the CAS number is the one that should appear on your purchase order, because it is the only name that cannot be stretched.

Two things the CAS number does not fix are the salt form and the water content. The material is commonly supplied as an acetate salt; the molecular weight on a certificate of analysis is reported for the peptide and the counter-ion contributes to the weighed mass. If your work needs net peptide content rather than gross weight, say so on the enquiry so the quotation can state which figure it uses. The public batch records for BPC-157 report chromatographic purity and a molecular-weight result, which is enough to confirm what the material is; net content is a separate request.

This page is written for a procurement reader. It explains how the material is identified, how a batch is documented, which format to order, how it is handled in transit and how a quotation is structured. It does not describe what BPC-157 does, and no page on this site will. Material is supplied for research use only.

Documentation

How a BPC-157 batch is documented

BPC-157 lots are released against a batch certificate of analysis with HPLC purity and MS identity; document availability is confirmed per lot. The certificate reports chromatographic purity by HPLC and a molecular-weight result from mass spectrometry, together with the manufacturing date, the test date and a retest date two years on. The five public records currently listed in the Pepti library span fills of 2 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg and 20 mg and report purity between 98.73% and 99.72%. Those are results from specific lots, not a specification for all lots, and the record for the lot you are offered is the figure that applies.

A molecular-weight result close to 1419.5 g/mol, read against the CAS number, is the identity check; it tells you the peak is BPC-157 and not a truncated sequence or a different peptide. The purity figure tells you how much of the chromatogram is that main peak. Neither figure says anything about fill mass per vial, residual solvent, water content, endotoxin or sterility unless the certificate reports those separately, and the public summaries do not. Buyers who need those tests arrange them on their own account; the lot number on the certificate is what lets an outside laboratory tie its result to the material you received.

If you want the batch record before payment, ask for it. The quotation for a BPC-157 order names the lot it will be filled from where stock is allocated, and the record for that lot appears in the batch table on this page. A lot that has not been published yet is documented on the same template, and its document availability is confirmed on the quotation.

Ordering

From a BPC-157 enquiry to dispatch

Five steps, each of which leaves a written trace you can file against the lot.

  1. State the format and the quantity

Raw powder is quoted per gram from 5 g. Vials are quoted per kit of ten in the fills that exist for BPC-157: 2 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg or 20 mg. A sample order is 1 kit (10 vials); a private-label OEM run starts at 50 kits (500 vials). Mixed orders, for example 10 g of powder plus a sample kit of the 5 mg fill, are a normal enquiry.

  2. Name the destination and the documents you need

The destination country sets the route and the cold-chain packing. Say whether you need the batch record before payment, a retest date beyond the standard two years, or a specific analytical report format for your own quality file.

Import requirements are yours to confirm. The quotation describes the goods and the documents; it does not advise on whether your jurisdiction admits them.

  3. Receive the quotation with the lot reference

The written quotation lists the compound by CAS number, the format, the quantity, the lead-time window that applies and, for allocated stock, the lot it will be filled from. Read the public record for that lot before you confirm.

  4. Confirm, then wait the stated window

A sample kit typically ships in 3–7 days after specification and payment confirmation. A production batch typically takes 10–14 days, and an OEM repeat batch 14–18 days. Those are typical windows, not commitments; the quotation states the window for your order.

  5. Check the goods against the record

On receipt, match the lot number on the vial or the powder container to the certificate, weigh what you can weigh, and send a portion to an outside laboratory if your process requires it. Report any mismatch with the lot number and photographs; a mismatch is handled against the record, not against memory.

Raw powder or vials for BPC-157: how buyers decide

Both formats come from the same production and carry the same kind of batch record. The difference is who does the weighing.

Your own fill-and-finish line or analytical method developmentRaw powder from 5 gYou control the fill, the diluent and the container; one lot covers many of your own units
Distributing sealed units to several laboratoriesLyophilized vials, 10 per kitEach unit is a sealed, labelled vial with a stated fill, so the chain of custody per unit is simple

Powder is quoted per gram; vials are quoted per kit. Ask for both on one enquiry if you have not decided.

Two formats for BPC-157

  • Raw powder

    BPC-157 as raw material

From 5 g per order, quoted per gram, dispatched cold-chain. The batch COA confirmed for the lot states HPLC purity and MS identity. Choose this when your own fill-and-finish or analytical work needs bulk material.

  • Lyophilized vials

    BPC-157 in finished vials

Fills of 2 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg, 20 mg per vial, ten vials per kit. A sample order is 1 kit (10 vials); private-label OEM starts at 50 kits (500 vials). Choose this when you need a finished, sealed unit per sample rather than weighed powder.

Handling

Storage, transit and the retest date

BPC-157 ships as a lyophilized solid: either weighed raw powder in a sealed container or a freeze-dried cake in a stoppered, capped vial. Raw powder orders are packed cold-chain for transit. The certificate of analysis carries a retest date, which is the date by which the material should be re-examined if it is still held, not a date on which it stops being what it is. Most buyers log the lot number, the receipt date and the retest date in their own inventory record on the day the parcel arrives.

Keep the container closed and cold, out of light, and open it only when you are ready to use it. Repeated warming and cooling of an opened container is the handling error that most often shows up later as a changed chromatogram. None of this is an instruction for use; it is the same storage advice that applies to any lyophilized peptide held as a reference material, and the guide on storage and retest covers it in more detail.

Who this page is for

Three BPC-157 buying situations

  • 01

A laboratory replacing a reference lot

You already hold BPC-157 from somewhere else and want a second source with a batch record you can read before paying. Start with a sample kit, compare the certificate to the one you have, and move to powder if the identity and purity results are in the range you expect.

  • 02

    A distributor consolidating non-GLP-1 lines

You stock several research peptides and want one manufacturer for BPC-157, TB-500, KPV and similar materials so that the certificates look alike and the lot numbering is consistent. Quote the lines together; the lead-time window is set by the longest line.

  • 03

    A brand owner planning a private-label run

You want BPC-157 vials under your own label. The production batch is planned from 50 kits (500 vials), carries the OEM repeat-batch window on reorders, and is documented lot by lot like any other batch. Label artwork and carton details are handled on the Pepti side after the quotation.

What this page does not claim

Pepti does not present itself as a cGMP drug-substance (API) manufacturer or CDMO and does not publish a GMP certificate or DMF.

BPC-157 is supplied for research use only and not for human or veterinary use. Nothing on this page describes an effect, a protocol or a use; a buyer who needs that information is on the wrong site.

BPC-157 supply questions

Which CAS number should I put on a BPC-157 purchase order?

Use CAS 137525-51-0. It is the registry number for the pentadecapeptide sequence and the one that appears on every public batch record in the Pepti library and on the PubChem entry for CID 9941957. Trade names such as Body Protection Compound-15 are fine as a second line, but the CAS number is what the certificate will quote.

Can I see a BPC-157 batch certificate before I pay?

Yes. Five BPC-157 lot records are mirrored in the batch table on this page, each with the purity result, the molecular-weight result and the test date; the Pepti library holds a PDF summary for each. For an allocated order the quotation names the lot, so you can read its record first; for a lot that is not published yet, document availability is confirmed on the quotation and the certificate uses the same template.

What is the smallest BPC-157 order you will quote?

A sample kit of 1 kit (10 vials) in one fill, or 5 g of raw powder. Both carry a lot number and a batch record. Private-label OEM vials start at 50 kits (500 vials) because they are planned as a production batch rather than drawn from stock.

Does the purity figure on the certificate apply to every BPC-157 lot?

No. Each figure is the HPLC result for one lot. The public records so far fall between 98.73% and 99.72%, which tells you the range this production has reported, not what a future lot will report. The record for the lot you receive is the figure that applies to your material.
