Research peptide raw material

CJC-1295 Raw Material Supplier

CJC-1295 is quoted in two forms. CJC-1295 without DAC is Modified GRF (1–29), CAS 863288-34-0, 3367.9 g/mol; CJC-1295 with DAC is CAS 446262-90-4, 3647.2 g/mol. Both are supplied as research-use raw powder from 5 g, cold-chain, or as lyophilized vials of 2 mg, 5 mg and 10 mg, and five public batch records cover the pair in the Pepti COA library.

Two substances

CJC-1295 without DAC and with DAC are two different materials

The name CJC-1295 is used in the trade for two related but distinct peptides, and a quotation has to say which one it means. The form without DAC is Modified GRF (1–29), a 29-residue amide whose second residue is D-alanine: Tyr-D-Ala-Asp-Ala-Ile-Phe-Thr-Gln-Ser-Tyr-Arg-Lys-Val-Leu-Ala-Gln-Leu-Ser-Ala-Arg-Lys-Leu-Leu-Gln-Asp-Ile-Leu-Ser-Arg-NH2. It is registered under CAS 863288-34-0, is also indexed under CAS 446036-97-1, and appears on PubChem as CID 56841945 with the formula C152H252N44O42 and a molecular weight of 3367.9 g/mol.

The form with DAC carries an additional lysine at the C-terminus bearing a maleimidopropionyl group on its side chain, the drug affinity complex that gives the variant its name. That extension changes the registry number to CAS 446262-90-4, the PubChem entry to CID 91971820, the formula to C165H269N47O46 and the molecular weight to 3647.2 g/mol. The difference in mass between the two forms is large enough that a mass spectrometry result places a lot in one column or the other without ambiguity.

For procurement the consequence is simple. The two forms are two separate lines on a quotation, two separate product names in the COA library, CJC-1295 no DAC and CJC-1295 with DAC, and two separate lot series. A purchase order that says only CJC-1295 is incomplete; it needs the CAS number of the form you want, and ideally the words with DAC or without DAC as well. This page explains the naming, how each form is documented, the powder and vial formats, handling, and the way both forms are quoted. It does not describe what either peptide does.

Documentation

Two product names, five public records

Both forms are released with a certificate of analysis issued per lot, recording HPLC purity of the main peak, the molecular-weight result from mass spectrometry, the date of manufacture, the test date and the retest date. The Pepti library currently holds five public records across the two forms. Two belong to CJC-1295 no DAC, filled at 2 mg and 5 mg, and both report a purity of 98.56%. Three belong to CJC-1295 with DAC, filled at 2 mg, 5 mg and 10 mg, reporting 99.16%, 99.71% and 99.03%. Across all five the range is 98.56% to 99.71%. Each figure is a result on one lot and is not a specification for lots to come.

The molecular-weight result is where the two forms separate. A result near 3367.9 g/mol is the form without DAC; a result near 3647.2 g/mol is the form with DAC. Read against the CAS number on the certificate, that single figure confirms you have been sent the form you ordered. The purity figure then tells you how much of the chromatogram is the main peak. What the certificate does not cover is the counter-ion, the water content, the fill mass of an individual vial, residual solvents, endotoxin or sterility, and the public summaries make no claim about them. Buyers who need those results commission them outside and file them under the same lot number.

Records can be read before payment. The two forms are listed separately in the batch table on this page, each under its own product name: no DAC for the form without DAC and with DAC for the form with it. A quotation for allocated stock names the lot for each line. A lot that has not been published yet is documented on the same template and document availability is confirmed per lot on the quotation.

Ordering

Quoting CJC-1295 in either or both forms

The same five steps as any other compound, with one extra decision at the start.

  1. Say which form, or both

State without DAC, with DAC, or both, and give the CAS number for each. Each form is a separate line. Raw powder is quoted per gram from 5 g and shipped cold-chain; vials are quoted per kit of ten in the 2 mg, 5 mg or 10 mg fill. A sample order is 1 kit (10 vials) per form; a private-label OEM run is from 50 kits (500 vials).

  2. Give the quantity, the destination and the paperwork

The delivery country fixes the route and the cold-chain packing. Say whether you want to read the lot records before payment, whether the retest date should be stated on the quotation, and whether the certificate must be in a particular layout.

Import admissibility for either form is for you to establish with your own adviser. The quotation describes the goods and the documents.

  3. Read the quotation against the two records

The quotation lists each form by its own CAS number with its format, quantity and lead-time window, and names the lot for allocated stock. Open each lot in the library and check that the molecular-weight result matches the form on that line before confirming.

  4. Confirm and allow the window

A sample kit typically dispatches 3–7 days after specification and payment are confirmed. A production batch typically takes 10–14 days and an OEM repeat batch typically 14–18 days. When both forms are on one order the longer window governs. Typical windows are not commitments, and the quotation says which one applies to the order.

  5. Match each line of the parcel to its certificate

Each form arrives with its own lot number and its own certificate. Check the label on every vial or container against the right certificate, weigh what you can, and send a sample for your own analysis if required. Raise any mismatch with the lot number and photographs.

Powder or vials for CJC-1295, in either form

The format decision is the same for both forms, and both can be ordered in different formats on one quotation.

BuyerFormat that usually fitsReason
Own filling line or method developmentRaw powder from 5 g, per gram, per formOne weighed lot per form, split into your own units in your own containers
Sealed units for several recipientsVials, ten per kit, per formEach vial is labelled with form, fill and lot and can be tracked on its own

Branded vials under your labelOEM run from 50 kits (500 vials) per formEach form is a production batch in its own right; reorders use the OEM repeat-batch window

Buyers who want both forms often take one as powder and the other as vials. The vials versus raw powder guide sets out the trade-offs.

Two formats for CJC-1295

  • Raw powder

    CJC-1295 as raw material

From 5 g per order, quoted per gram, dispatched cold-chain. The batch COA confirmed for the lot states HPLC purity and MS identity. Choose this when your own fill-and-finish or analytical work needs bulk material.

  • Lyophilized vials

    CJC-1295 in finished vials

Fills of 2 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg per vial, ten vials per kit. A sample order is 1 kit (10 vials); private-label OEM starts at 50 kits (500 vials). Choose this when you need a finished, sealed unit per sample rather than weighed powder.

Handling

Storage and retest for a 29-residue peptide and its DAC form

Both forms ship as dry solids: weighed powder in a sealed container under cold-chain packing, or a lyophilized cake in a stoppered, crimped vial. The certificate for a lot states a retest date, the date by which material still held should be examined again. It is not an expiry. Log the lot number, the form, the receipt date and the retest date in your stock record when the parcel is opened, and keep the two forms on separate lines in that record so that a retest on one is not mistaken for a retest on the other.

Keep containers sealed, cold and away from light, and open them only when needed. Larger peptides such as these take up moisture readily when an opened container is cycled between warm and cold, and that is the handling fault most often behind a changed chromatogram later. The maleimide group on the DAC extension is chemically reactive, which is a further reason to keep that container closed and dry between uses. None of this is direction on use; it is reference-material care, and the storage and retest guide covers it in full.

Who this page is for

Three CJC-1295 buying situations

  • 01

A laboratory that needs the form it already holds

You hold one form of CJC-1295 and need the same one from a documented second source. Order one kit of that form, compare its molecular-weight result with the certificate you have, and confirm the form before moving to powder.

  • 02

A distributor that lists both forms

You stock CJC-1295 with and without DAC and want both from one manufacturer so that the two certificate series look alike and the lot numbers follow one scheme. Both go on one enquiry, often alongside Ipamorelin.

  • 03

A brand owner labelling one or both forms

You want CJC-1295 vials under your own label. Each form is its own production batch from 50 kits (500 vials), documented lot by lot, with the OEM repeat-batch window on reorders. Carton and label details are settled once the quotation is agreed.

What this page does not claim

Pepti does not present itself as a cGMP drug-substance (API) manufacturer or CDMO and does not publish a GMP certificate or DMF.

CJC-1295 is supplied for research use only and not for human or veterinary use. Nothing on this page describes an effect, a protocol or a use; a buyer who needs that information is on the wrong site.

CJC-1295 supply questions

Which CAS number do I put on a CJC-1295 purchase order?

The one for the form you want. CJC-1295 without DAC, also called Modified GRF (1–29), is CAS 863288-34-0 and is also indexed under 446036-97-1. CJC-1295 with DAC is CAS 446262-90-4. Write the form in words as well; a purchase order that says only CJC-1295 will be queried before it is quoted.

Can both forms go on one quotation?

Yes. They appear as two separate lines, each with its own CAS number, format, quantity, lead-time window and, for allocated stock, lot number. Each line has its own certificate. The longer of the two lead-time windows governs dispatch when the order ships together.

How many CJC-1295 batch records are public?

Five: two for CJC-1295 no DAC at 2 mg and 5 mg, both reporting 98.56%, and three for CJC-1295 with DAC at 2 mg, 5 mg and 10 mg, reporting 99.16%, 99.71% and 99.03%. Each record carries the molecular-weight result and the test and retest dates and is listed in the batch table on this page under its product name.

How can I tell from the certificate which form I received?

From the molecular-weight result. A result near 3367.9 g/mol is the form without DAC; a result near 3647.2 g/mol is the form with DAC. The product name and CAS number on the certificate should agree with that figure, and the lot number on the vial label should match the certificate.
