Research peptide raw material

GHK-Cu Raw Material Supplier

GHK-Cu is the copper complex of the tripeptide Gly-His-Lys. On this site it is supplied as research-use raw material only: cold-chain raw powder from 5 g or lyophilized vials in 50 mg and 100 mg fills, ten to a kit. Two public batch records are listed, one per fill, each with an HPLC purity result and a molecular-weight result for the complex.

kit

Also known as Copper tripeptide-1, Gly-His-Lys copper complex. Supplied by Bulk Peptide Works, manufactured by Pepti, Guangzhou.

Identity

The complex, the free tripeptide and which one the certificate measures

GHK-Cu is glycyl-histidyl-lysine bound to a copper(II) ion. The trade also calls it copper peptide GHK-Cu, and the cosmetic-ingredient naming system calls it Copper Tripeptide-1. The registry number is CAS 89030-95-5. PubChem indexes the complex under CID 71587328 as the cation, formula C14H23CuN6O4+, with a molecular weight of 402.9 g/mol. That cation is what the name GHK-Cu refers to on this site and on the certificate.

The free tripeptide, GHK without the copper, is a separate substance. It has its own registry number, CAS 49557-75-7, and a molecular weight of about 340.4 g/mol, roughly 62 g/mol lighter than the complex. The two are not interchangeable on a quotation. A molecular-weight result on a GHK-Cu certificate refers to the complex, and a result near 402.9 g/mol confirms that the copper is bound; a result near 340.4 g/mol would mean the free peptide had been supplied instead. The public records for this compound report the result in two ways, as a neutral mass and as a protonated ion, and both sit where the complex is expected.

This page offers GHK-Cu as a research-use raw material and nothing else. Cosmetic-grade ingredient supply for formulators, with the specification, documentation and quantities that a cosmetic manufacturer needs, is a separate enquiry and is not covered on this site. If your purchase order says Copper Tripeptide-1 and the file it goes into is a cosmetic-ingredient file, this is not the page you need; if it says CAS 89030-95-5 and the file is a research raw-material record, read on. What GHK-Cu does is not discussed here or anywhere else on this site.

Batch record

How a GHK-Cu lot is documented

Two GHK-Cu lots are public in the Pepti library, one filled at 50 mg and one at 100 mg, with purity results of 99.3% and 99.6%, so the published range for this compound runs from 99.3% to 99.6%. Each record states the lot, the HPLC purity, the molecular-weight result for the complex, the manufacturing date, the test date and a retest date around two years after manufacture. Two lots are a small sample; the record for the lot on your quotation is the figure for your material.

The certificate does not report copper content as a separate assay, and the public summary does not show water content, counter-ion, residual solvent, endotoxin or bioburden. The molecular-weight result is the evidence that the copper is bound, which is a different question from how much total copper, bound or free, is in the weighed mass. A buyer whose work depends on the copper figure commissions that test and ties the result to the lot number. The same goes for net peptide content. The quality page sets out what the standard certificate contains and what it leaves to the buyer.

The complex is coloured and the free tripeptide is not; a colourless powder offered under the name GHK-Cu is a reason to ask for the certificate before anything else. For allocated stock the quotation names the lot and the record is in the batch table on this page. A lot still in production is documented on the same template once tested and document availability is confirmed per lot on the quotation; the guide on matching a certificate to the batch you receive shows how to read one against the parcel.

Ordering

From a GHK-Cu enquiry to a parcel

Each step leaves a record filed under the lot.

  1. State research-use raw material, the format and the quantity

Raw powder is quoted per gram from 5 g and dispatched cold-chain. Vials are quoted per kit of ten in 50 mg and 100 mg fills; 1 kit (10 vials) is the sample order and 50 kits (500 vials) the private-label OEM starting point. An enquiry for cosmetic-grade ingredient is answered by saying that it is a separate matter not handled through this site.

  2. Name the destination and the documents

The delivery country fixes the carrier, the customs set and the packing. State whether you want the certificate before payment, whether your quality file needs a specific layout, and whether you need the form of the solid stated on the quotation.

Import admissibility is for the buyer to confirm. The quotation lists goods and documents; it gives no opinion on import.

  3. Read the lot on the quotation

The quotation identifies GHK-Cu by CAS 89030-95-5 and names the lot where stock is allocated. Open the record, check the fill, the purity and the molecular-weight result for the complex, then confirm.

  4. Confirm and allow the window

A sample kit typically leaves within 3–7 days of specification and payment confirmation. A production batch typically takes 10–14 days; an OEM repeat batch typically 14–18 days. The window on the quotation is the one that applies and is typical, not fixed.

  5. Reconcile parcel and certificate

Match lot numbers on every label to the certificate, count units, weigh the powder container, photograph the labels and log the lot, the receipt date and the retest date. Raise a discrepancy with the lot number and photographs and it is settled against the record.

GHK-Cu powder or GHK-Cu vials

Both formats are the complex, both carry the same certificate template, and both are research-use raw material. The choice is who weighs.

BuyerFormatReason
Laboratory weighing from bulk for its own methodRaw powder from 5 gQuoted per gram and sent cold-chain; one lot covers many of your own units

Both fills are heavier than most peptide fills on this site; ask for powder and vials on one enquiry if you have not decided.

Two formats for GHK-Cu

  • Raw powder

    GHK-Cu as raw material

From 5 g per order, quoted per gram, dispatched cold-chain. The batch COA confirmed for the lot states HPLC purity and MS identity. Choose this when your own fill-and-finish or analytical work needs bulk material.

  • Lyophilized vials

    GHK-Cu in finished vials

Fills of 50 mg, 100 mg per vial, ten vials per kit. A sample order is 1 kit (10 vials); private-label OEM starts at 50 kits (500 vials). Choose this when you need a finished, sealed unit per sample rather than weighed powder.

Handling

Keeping the copper bound: GHK-Cu in storage

GHK-Cu ships dry, as a freeze-dried cake in a stoppered, capped vial or as weighed powder in a sealed container with cold-chain packing. The storage rule is the one every lyophilized material on this site gets: closed, cold, dark, opened only when needed and not cycled between warm and cold. The colour of the solid is a rough first check at receipt; a change in colour between the day a container was opened and the day it is next examined is a reason to send a portion for re-testing rather than to assume.

The retest date on the certificate is a prompt to re-examine held material, not an expiry. Record the lot number, the receipt date and that date in your inventory register when the parcel arrives, and review the entry when the date comes round. Nothing in this section is an instruction for use; the storage and retest guide covers the general handling and the FAQ covers the logistics.

Who this page is for

Three GHK-Cu buyers this page addresses

  • 01

A laboratory that needs the complex, with the certificate to prove it

You want GHK-Cu with a molecular-weight result that shows the copper is bound, read before you pay. A sample kit in either fill carries a lot number and a public record; move to powder once the certificate matches what you expect.

  • 02

A distributor consolidating research raw materials

GHK-Cu sits on the compound index with KPV and the other short sequences that buyers prefer to source from one manufacturer so the certificates share a layout. Quote the lines together; the longest lead time sets dispatch.

  • 03

A formulator who arrived looking for a cosmetic ingredient

If you need Copper Tripeptide-1 as a cosmetic-grade ingredient with the documentation a cosmetic file requires, that is a separate enquiry and this site does not cover it. The page you are reading is for research-use raw material only; nothing on it should be read as a cosmetic-ingredient offer.

What this page does not claim

Pepti does not present itself as a cGMP drug-substance (API) manufacturer or CDMO and does not publish a GMP certificate or DMF.

GHK-Cu is supplied for research use only and not for human or veterinary use. Nothing on this page describes an effect, a protocol or a use; a buyer who needs that information is on the wrong site.

This site supplies GHK-Cu as research-use raw material only. Cosmetic-grade supply for formulators is a separate enquiry and is not covered here.

GHK-Cu supply questions

Does the molecular weight on a GHK-Cu certificate refer to the complex or to GHK alone?

To the complex. PubChem CID 71587328 lists the copper-bound cation at 402.9 g/mol, and that is the figure a certificate result is read against. The free tripeptide GHK is a different substance with its own registry number, CAS 49557-75-7, and a molecular weight of about 340.4 g/mol; a result near that figure would mean the copper is not there.

Can I buy cosmetic-grade GHK-Cu through this site?

No. This site supplies GHK-Cu as research-use raw material only. Cosmetic-grade ingredient supply for formulators is a separate enquiry with its own specification and paperwork and is not covered here. A research-use certificate is not a cosmetic-ingredient document and should not be filed as one.

What do the two public GHK-Cu records report?

One lot at 50 mg and one at 100 mg, with purity results of 99.3% and 99.6%, each with a molecular-weight result for the complex and test and retest dates. Both appear in the batch table on this page. They are results for those lots, not a specification, and the record for the lot on your quotation is the one that applies to you.

What is the smallest GHK-Cu quantity quoted?

1 kit (10 vials) in the 50 mg or 100 mg fill, or 5 g of raw powder quoted per gram and dispatched cold-chain. Each carries a lot number and a certificate. Private-label OEM vials begin at 50 kits (500 vials) since they are planned as a production batch.
