Research peptide raw material
Epithalon Raw Material Supplier
Epithalon, also spelt Epitalon and abbreviated AEDG, is the tetrapeptide Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly. Pepti supplies it as cold-chain raw powder from 5 g or as lyophilized vials in 10 mg and 50 mg fills, ten to a kit. Two public batch records are listed, at 5 mg and 10 mg, each with an HPLC purity result and a molecular-weight result that can be read before you pay.
Also known as Epitalon, Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly, AEDG. Supplied by Bulk Peptide Works, manufactured by Pepti, Guangzhou.
Identity
One tetrapeptide, two spellings, one CAS number
Epithalon and Epitalon are two spellings of the same name for the tetrapeptide alanine-glutamate-aspartate-glycine, Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly, or AEDG in one-letter code. Suppliers, catalogues and purchase orders use both spellings, sometimes on the same document, and neither is wrong. What settles the identity is the registry number, CAS 307297-39-8, backed by PubChem CID 219042, which lists the formula C14H22N4O9 and a molecular weight of 390.4 g/mol. Put the CAS number on the order and let the spelling follow whichever convention your own system uses.
An older extract with a near-identical name circulates in the literature; it is a mixture rather than a single sequence and is not what this page offers. The tetrapeptide is a defined substance with a single formula, and the molecular-weight result on a certificate is what confirms it: a mass consistent with 390.4 g/mol says tetrapeptide, and anything far from it says something else. With only four residues, the fragments that could pass for it are tripeptides and dipeptides of lower mass, which separate cleanly on a mass spectrum and on a chromatogram.
The registry number fixes the four residues and their order. It does not fix the counter-ion or the water held by a freeze-dried cake, and both contribute to a weighed mass without contributing to the peptide. If your calculation needs net peptide rather than gross weight, say so on the enquiry and the quotation will state the basis. From here the page deals with the certificate, the two formats, the order sequence and the handling of Epithalon as a research raw material. It does not discuss what Epithalon does, and the tetrapeptide is supplied for research use only.

Batch record
The Epithalon records in the library, and the fills on the quotation
The Pepti library lists two public Epithalon lots, one filled at 5 mg and one at 10 mg, with purity results of 99.2% and 98.71%. That gives a published range of 98.71% to 99.2% for this compound so far. Each record carries a mass-spectrometry molecular-weight result, the manufacturing date, the test date and a retest date around two years later. The two figures are the results of two lots; a lot filled later is tested on its own and reports its own number.
Note the fills. The two vial fills quoted today are 10 mg and 50 mg, while the library holds records at 5 mg and 10 mg. So the 10 mg fill has a public record, the 5 mg record is there for comparison even though 5 mg is not on the current offer, and the 50 mg fill does not yet have a public lot. A 50 mg order is documented on the same template as the others once its lot is tested; ask on the enquiry if you want to see that certificate before payment rather than with the goods.
The certificate reports HPLC purity and a molecular-weight result and dates them. It does not report measured fill mass, water content, counter-ion content, residual solvent, endotoxin or bioburden, and it does not report net peptide content. Those are tests for the buyer to commission, with the lot number as the link between the outside result and the goods. For an allocated lot the record is in the batch table on this page; the quality page describes the template and the guide on matching a certificate to a batch shows how to check one against a parcel.
Ordering
The Epithalon order sequence
Five steps; each produces a document to file under the lot number.
-
Set the format, the fill and the quantity
Raw powder is quoted per gram from 5 g, dispatched cold-chain. Vials come in 10 mg and 50 mg fills in kits of ten. The sample order is 1 kit (10 vials); private-label OEM runs start at 50 kits (500 vials). Powder and a kit can share an enquiry.
-
Give the delivery country and the document list
Destination decides routing, customs paperwork and packing. Add whether you want the certificate first, whether your quality file requires a specific format, and whether you need a 50 mg lot documented before dispatch.
The buyer confirms admissibility in the destination. The quotation does not advise on import.
-
Read the lot behind the quotation
The quotation names Epithalon by CAS 307297-39-8, the format, the fill, the quantity, the typical window and, for allocated stock, the lot. Open that lot and compare purity, molecular-weight result and fill before confirming.
-
Confirm and allow the window
Sample kits typically dispatch in 3–7 days from specification and payment confirmation; a production batch typically takes 10–14 days; an OEM repeat batch typically 14–18 days. The quotation gives the one that applies and none is a fixed date.
-
Match the delivery to the certificate
Check lot numbers on labels against the certificate, count the vials, weigh the powder container, photograph everything and file the lot, receipt date and retest date. A discrepancy is raised with the lot number and photographs attached.
Epithalon: when powder fits and when vials fit
Same lot family, same certificate template, different unit.
| Your situation | Format | Why it fits |
|---|---|---|
| You weigh and fill in-house | Raw powder from 5 g | Per-gram quotation; one powder lot supplies many of your own units in whatever fill you choose |
| You pass sealed units to other sites | Vials, 10 mg or 50 mg, kits of ten | Fill and lot are on every label, so custody per unit is a matter of reading, not weighing |
| You are qualifying Pepti against a current supplier | 1 kit (10 vials) in the 10 mg fill | The 10 mg fill already has a public record to put beside your existing certificate |
| You want vials under your own brand | Vials from 50 kits (500 vials) | A production batch, documented lot by lot, reordered on the OEM window |
The 50 mg fill is the larger unit; it suits buyers who would otherwise order powder in small amounts and prefer a sealed vial.
Two formats for Epithalon
-
Raw powder
Epithalon as raw material
From 5 g per order, quoted per gram, dispatched cold-chain. The batch COA confirmed for the lot states HPLC purity and MS identity. Choose this when your own fill-and-finish or analytical work needs bulk material.
-
Lyophilized vials
Epithalon in finished vials
Fills of 10 mg, 50 mg per vial, ten vials per kit. A sample order is 1 kit (10 vials); private-label OEM starts at 50 kits (500 vials). Choose this when you need a finished, sealed unit per sample rather than weighed powder.

Handling
Epithalon in transit and in storage
Epithalon ships as a lyophilized solid, either weighed powder in a sealed container under cold-chain packing or a freeze-dried cake in a stoppered, capped vial. A tetrapeptide of 390.4 g/mol is a small molecule by peptide standards, and the storage rule for it is the same as for the larger ones: sealed, cold, out of light, opened only when needed. Repeated warming and re-chilling of an opened container is the handling fault that is later blamed on the supplier and is usually traceable to the shelf.
The certificate carries a retest date, which is a prompt to re-examine held material, not a date on which it stops being Epithalon. Enter the lot number, the receipt date and that retest date in your inventory record the day the parcel arrives; those three lines answer most later questions. Nothing on this page is an instruction for use. The storage and retest guide covers what re-examination at the retest date usually involves, and the FAQ answers the common logistics questions.
Who this page is for
Three Epithalon buyers
-
01
A laboratory comparing a new lot to an old one
You hold Epithalon from elsewhere and want a lot whose certificate is public before you commit. The 10 mg fill is the natural sample because its record is already in the library; set the two certificates beside each other and move to powder if the results line up.
-
02
A distributor adding a tetrapeptide line
Epithalon is one of the short sequences on the compound index that are often quoted together with KPV and DSIP. One manufacturer for the set means one certificate layout and one lot-number pattern, and the longest line sets the dispatch window.
-
03
A brand owner planning own-label vials
Private-label runs begin at 50 kits (500 vials), are planned as a production batch and are reordered on the OEM repeat window of typically 14–18 days. The order photos show what a finished kit looks like; label and carton details are agreed after the quotation.
What this page does not claim
Pepti does not present itself as a cGMP drug-substance (API) manufacturer or CDMO and does not publish a GMP certificate or DMF.
Epithalon is supplied for research use only and not for human or veterinary use. Nothing on this page describes an effect, a protocol or a use; a buyer who needs that information is on the wrong site.
Epithalon supply questions
Epithalon or Epitalon: which spelling goes on the order?
Either. Both spellings refer to the tetrapeptide Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly, and the certificate will carry the CAS number, 307297-39-8, whichever spelling you use. Add the CAS number and the sequence to the purchase order and the spelling becomes a label rather than an identifier.
Why does the library show a 5 mg Epithalon lot when the fills quoted are 10 mg and 50 mg?
Because the library lists every public lot, including fills that are not on the current offer. The 5 mg record is still a useful comparison for purity and molecular weight. The 10 mg fill has its own record; the 50 mg fill is documented on the same template when a lot is run, and the certificate can be requested before dispatch.
What purity do the public Epithalon records report?
The two records report purity of 99.2% for the 5 mg lot and 98.71% for the 10 mg lot. These are results for those two lots only; they are not a specification, and the record for the lot named on your quotation is the one that describes your material.
What is the smallest Epithalon order?
1 kit (10 vials) in the 10 mg or 50 mg fill, or 5 g of raw powder quoted per gram and sent cold-chain. Both carry a lot number and a certificate. Private-label vials begin at 50 kits (500 vials) because they are made as a production batch rather than drawn from stock.
