Research peptide raw material

NAD+ Raw Material Supplier

NAD+ is a dinucleotide coenzyme, not a peptide. Pepti supplies it as research-use raw material on the same terms as its peptide lines: cold-chain raw powder from 5 g, or lyophilized vials in 100 mg, 500 mg and 1000 mg fills, each lot with a certificate reporting HPLC purity and a molecular-weight result. Three public batch records are listed, one per fill.

Identity

A nucleotide on a peptide list

NAD+ is β-nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, also written as diphosphopyridine nucleotide in older literature. It is two nucleotides, one carrying nicotinamide and one carrying adenine, joined through a pair of phosphate groups. It has no amino-acid sequence, which is why the sequence line in the identity table on this page is empty. The registry number is CAS 53-84-9, the PubChem entry is CID 5892, the formula is C21H27N7O14P2 and the molecular weight is 663.4 g/mol.

It is listed here, among tripeptides and nonapeptides, for a practical reason. Buyers who source research peptides from Pepti also ask for NAD+ as a research raw material, and it is produced, filled, documented and shipped through the same route: weighed powder or a lyophilized vial, a lot number, a certificate with an HPLC purity result and a mass-spectrometry molecular-weight result, a test date and a retest date, and a public record in the same library, mirrored in the batch table on this page. The paperwork a buyer receives for NAD+ is the template the buyer already files for BPC-157 or KPV. Grouping it with the peptides is about the documentation, not the chemistry.

The names that need separating from NAD+ are its reduced form, NADH, which has its own registry number and a different molecular weight, and the salt forms of NAD+ itself, which carry additional registry numbers and additional mass. CAS 53-84-9 identifies the free acid. A quotation for NAD+ should state the form being weighed, because the difference between the free acid and a sodium salt is visible on a balance and on a mass spectrum. This page covers the naming, the certificate, the formats, the route from enquiry to dispatch and the handling of NAD+ as an item of supply; it does not describe what NAD+ does, and the material is supplied for research use only.

Batch record

What the three NAD+ records show

Three NAD+ lots are public in the Pepti library, filled at 100 mg, 500 mg and 1000 mg, and together they report purity between 98.62% and 99.6%. Each record names the lot, reports chromatographic purity by HPLC, reports a molecular-weight result from mass spectrometry, and gives the manufacturing date, the test date and a retest date roughly two years on. The spread between the lowest and the highest of the three results is wider than for some of the peptide lines, which is a reminder that each figure belongs to one lot and the figure on the lot you are offered is the one to read.

Because the fills for NAD+ are measured in hundreds of milligrams rather than single milligrams, buyers sometimes assume the fill mass is itself a tested value. It is not, unless the certificate reports it as a separate line, and the public summaries do not. The same applies to water content, which matters for a solid that takes up moisture, and to residual solvent, metal content, endotoxin and bioburden. Those tests are commissioned by the buyer, and the lot number on the certificate is how an outside laboratory ties its result back to the goods. The quality page lists what the standard certificate contains.

Where stock is allocated, the quotation names the lot and the record can be read in the batch table on this page before you pay. A lot in production is documented on the same template once it is tested and the certificate accompanies the order. If two suppliers offer you NAD+ with a purity figure each, the guide on comparing raw-material quotations explains why the lot number behind the figure is the part to check.

Ordering

NAD+ from first message to dispatch

The route is the one the peptide lines use; the only difference is the size of the fills.

  1. Pick the format and the quantity

Raw NAD+ powder is quoted per gram from 5 g and goes out cold-chain. Vials are quoted per kit of ten in the three fills on offer, 100 mg, 500 mg and 1000 mg. A sample order is 1 kit (10 vials); own-label OEM vials start from 50 kits (500 vials). If you need powder for one purpose and vials for another, put both on one enquiry.

  2. State the delivery country and the documents

The destination fixes the carrier, the customs set and the packing. Say whether the certificate is wanted before payment, whether your file needs a particular report format, and whether you want the form of the solid, free acid or salt, written on the quotation.

Import rules are for the buyer to verify. The quotation describes goods and documents only.

  3. Match the quotation to the public lot

The quotation lists NAD+ by CAS 53-84-9 with the format, the quantity, the typical lead-time window and the lot reference where stock is allocated. Read that lot in the library, checking fill, purity result and molecular-weight result, before you confirm.

  4. Confirm; the typical window starts

After specification and payment confirmation a sample kit typically ships within 3–7 days. A production batch typically runs 10–14 days and an OEM repeat batch typically 14–18 days. The quotation names the window that applies to your order; none of them is a commitment.

  5. Check what arrives against what was documented

Compare the lot on every vial or container with the certificate, count the units, weigh what you are able to weigh, photograph the labels and file the lot, the receipt date and the retest date. Any discrepancy goes back with the lot number and the photographs so it can be settled from the record.

NAD+ as powder or as vials

The fills for NAD+ are large, so the vial route covers more buyers than it does for a tripeptide. The weighing question still decides it.

NeedFormatWhat tips it
Your own formulation or method work from bulk solidRaw powder from 5 gQuoted per gram, cold-chain; you decide fill, container and diluent
Sealed units in a fixed mass, 100 mg to 1000 mg, for onward supplyLyophilized vials, kits of tenEach unit is labelled with lot and fill; per-unit custody needs no balance
A first order to check the certificate against your own test1 kit (10 vials) of one fillThe smallest unit with a lot number, and a record is already public for all three fills
Vials under your own labelFrom 50 kits (500 vials)Planned as a production batch, with the OEM window on repeat orders

The 1000 mg fill is the largest single unit on this site. If the quantity you need runs to many kits of it, powder is usually the simpler quotation.

Two formats for NAD+

  • Raw powder

    NAD+ as raw material

From 5 g per order, quoted per gram, dispatched cold-chain. The batch COA confirmed for the lot states HPLC purity and MS identity. Choose this when your own fill-and-finish or analytical work needs bulk material.

  • Lyophilized vials

    NAD+ in finished vials

Fills of 100 mg, 500 mg, 1000 mg per vial, ten vials per kit. A sample order is 1 kit (10 vials); private-label OEM starts at 50 kits (500 vials). Choose this when you need a finished, sealed unit per sample rather than weighed powder.

Handling

Storing NAD+ between receipt and retest

NAD+ arrives as a dry solid, either a lyophilized cake in a stoppered, capped vial or weighed powder in a sealed container packed cold-chain. The free acid takes up water from the air if a container is left open, and the extra mass shows on a balance before it shows anywhere else, so the container is opened only when needed and closed at once. Cold, dark and sealed is the whole of the storage rule; the storage and retest guide applies to this line as it does to the peptides.

The retest date on the certificate is the date by which held material should be re-examined. It is not an expiry and it is not extended by the supplier after the fact; a buyer who holds a lot past that date either re-tests it or retires it. On receipt, record the lot number, the date of receipt and the retest date in the same register you use for peptide lots, so the NAD+ entries sit next to the rest and are reviewed on the same cycle. None of the above is a direction for use.

Who this page is for

Three NAD+ enquiries this page is built around

  • 01

A laboratory that wants one supplier for peptides and NAD+

You already buy peptide raw material from Pepti and would rather have the NAD+ certificate on the same template, with the same lot-number format, than a separate file from a separate source. Add the line to your next enquiry; the lead-time window is set by the longest line on the quotation.

  • 02

    A distributor stocking high-mass fills

The 100 mg, 500 mg and 1000 mg vials are the heaviest fills on the compound index. If your customers take sealed units at those masses, kits of ten with a public record per fill are the simplest thing to carry; if they take bulk, powder from 5 g is quoted per gram.

  • 03

A brand owner planning labelled NAD+ vials

Own-label runs start at 50 kits (500 vials), are planned as a production batch, are documented lot by lot and repeat on the OEM window of typically 14–18 days. Artwork and cartons are agreed after the quotation. Read the supplier qualification checklist first if this is a new relationship.

What this page does not claim

Pepti does not present itself as a cGMP drug-substance (API) manufacturer or CDMO and does not publish a GMP certificate or DMF.

NAD+ is supplied for research use only and not for human or veterinary use. Nothing on this page describes an effect, a protocol or a use; a buyer who needs that information is on the wrong site.

NAD+ supply questions

Is NAD+ a peptide?

No. NAD+ is a dinucleotide, a nicotinamide nucleotide and an adenine nucleotide joined through two phosphate groups, with no amino-acid sequence. It is listed on this site because it is supplied as a research raw material through the same production, documentation and dispatch route as the peptide lines, with the same certificate template and a public record in the same Pepti library.

What do the three public NAD+ records show?

One lot each at 100 mg, 500 mg and 1000 mg, with purity results between 98.62% and 99.6%, a molecular-weight result on each, and test and retest dates. They are in the batch table on this page and each is the figure for its own lot; the record for the lot named on your quotation is the one that applies.

Which form of NAD+ does CAS 53-84-9 refer to?

The free acid. Salt forms and the reduced form, NADH, have separate registry numbers and separate masses. Ask for the form to be written on the quotation if your work depends on it, because the weighed mass and the molecular-weight result both change with the form.

What is the smallest NAD+ order?

A single kit, 1 kit (10 vials), in any one of the three fills, or 5 g of raw powder quoted per gram and sent cold-chain. Both come with a lot number and a certificate. Private-label vials under your own name begin at 50 kits (500 vials) because they are produced as a batch.
